My wife had to take her car into Freeway for a transmission diagnostics. I was unable go with her so was concerned that they would see her as an easy mark. I was certain I would get a call from her telling me we were going to have to buy a new transmission $3,500.00 or so. To my surprise they reset the code added some fluid and asked us to drive it until either the code came up again or the middle of June. Whichever came first. If we got to June they recommended we bring it in for a transmission flush and would credit the diagnostic fee towards the flush. If it coded again we were to bring it in and they would evaluate again and give us an estimate for repair. Wow completely restored my faith in transmission shops. Every other transmission shop I have ever taken my cars too has immediately recommended a full transmission repair our replace.
